After graduating in Chemical Engineering from MTI, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he specialized in Chemistry and Finance at the Paris-Sorbonne University.
He was the founder and promoter of the growth of Hojalata y Lámina S.A. (HYLSA), a company from which he retired after 40 years.
As chairman of the Board of the Universidad de Monterrey he brought together important leaders of the Monterrey community to form the General Board, but the biggest challenge he faced and overcame was giving the Institution order and organization, as he achieved the definition of the statues that govern UDEM’s spirit and started the construction of its campus.
