Dear Prepa UDEM community,
It has been two months since we started staying home and following social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and we can only feel admiration and pride over your determination and effort to cope with this atypical situation while giving the best of yourselves in every class, activity, and project.
Today, we are very pleased to witness you heading into the last stretch of this semester, a semester that has been full of challenges and achievements but which has also brought the UDEM community together, even if over a distance. Likewise, we are moved to see that not even the health contingency has managed to put a halt to the academic path of our graduating students. We remember your arrival at Prepa UDEM three years ago and it fills us with happiness to see that you have become responsible people who are about to complete your high-school level studies and move forward on the next stage of your journey: your university life.
It makes us feel privileged to know that, together with their parents, who were their loyal companions during their high-school level studies, UDEM has conveyed to our graduating students its values and whole-person education through their teachers, coordinators, and directors. We are certain that these teachings will stay with them throughout their lives and will motivate them to continue inspiring the best version of themselves.
Therefore, we do not want this great cause for celebration to go unnoticed: our Prepa UDEM graduating class! We know that the situation created by the health contingency is complicated and it has frustrated the in-person graduation that we had planned for each one of our graduating students and their families. However, this should be no impediment to be thankful for their achievement and celebrate together, even if from a distance. Thus, we warmly invite you to celebrate through the Prepa UDEM virtual graduations.
Below, you will find a schedule with the dates and times of each virtual graduation ceremony:

Dear Prepa UDEM graduating students, we understand that this virtual celebration cannot compare to the in-person ceremony. However, your well-being is our priority, and it is therefore necessary to comply with the recommendations issued by health authorities. We are sure that these extraordinary measures allow us to do our part to ensure that you, this class of young people graduating during the contingency, can enjoy the next stage of student life in a safe environment, and thus have life experiences that will contribute more value to your life.
Despite the difficulties and the virtual format, we wish for you to start celebrating now the completion of your studies and also the fact that you will soon become Prepa UDEM graduates! Therefore, we kindly ask you to be on the lookout at home because you will receive a gift that will give UDEM’s distinctive touch to your graduation experience at home and will reaffirm that we are together in spite of the distance.
We are confident that this situation will pass and that we will meet again in the future. We thank those of you who have decided to continue your studies at UDEM for your trust. We will be very happy to see you at the University, celebrating that we have overcome this contingency and become stronger.
We would like to ask you to keep monitoring your institutional email address and the website udem.edu.mx/graduacionesvirtualesprepa because it will be through these media that we will share with you all relevant information for you to participate in these events. Additionally, we would also like to ask you to follow our social media and the University’s website, specifically the site udem.edu.mx/coronavirus, where we share relevant information on this contingency and on how to cope with it from home.
We send you a big hug, wishing that you are well in the company of your loved ones. Let’s continue inspiring the best version of ourselves! God bless us!
Sincerely,
Mario Páez González
President of the Universidad de Monterrey
