Javier García Justicia holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and a Master’s in Population and Territorial Sociology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is also a graduate in Religious and Catechetical Sciences from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca and a specialist in Foreign Language Teaching from Universidad de Valencia. He has diplomas in Social Anthropology, Social Project Evaluation, and a Human Rights-Based Approach.
He has been a faculty member at our institution since 2003. Previously, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities and Director of the Department of Humanities at the same institution.
He is a prominent writer and international speaker on topics such as Social Exclusion and Discrimination, Social Project Development Methodologies, and Corporate Philanthropy, and he is also a specialist in international development cooperation.
His distinctions at UDEM include the Pro Magistro Roberto Garza Sada Award 2007. He is the recipient of the 2018 Philanthropic Career Award from the American Fundraising Professional.
Additionally, he is an advisor to the Civil Society Organization Effeta, which supports children with disabilities. He was a member of the Nuevo León Council for Strategic Planning 2030 and a member of the Consejo Consultivo Ciudadano de la Comisión Nacional de Población Federal (Citizen Advisory Council of the National Population Commission, CONAPO).
