Karina María Montemayor Campos

Vice President for Upper Secondary Education

Karina María Montemayor Campos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education Sciences from the Universidad de Monterrey. She has more than 30 years of professional experience and a solid career trajectory that began in the industrial sector and has been consolidated in the educational field within Prepa UDEM.

As of April 2026, she assumes the Vice Presidency for Upper Secondary Education, where she leads the consolidation of academic and formative quality at this educational level, as well as the articulation of strategic initiatives aligned with the Institutional Strategic Plan. She works in close collaboration with the different vice presidencies to strengthen the positioning and projection of Upper Secondary Education at the Universidad de Monterrey.

Throughout her career, she has held key roles as a psychologist, faculty member, and Director of the Psychology Academy, where she led the consolidation of the Guidance, Counseling, and Wellbeing programs, strengthening comprehensive student support. She later served as Director of Prepa UDEM Fundadores, a campus she has been part of since its foundation as a faculty member, and where, as director, she promoted strategies aimed at strengthening academic operations, consolidating a positive organizational climate, and enriching the educational experience and student life.

She also served as Director of Prepa UDEM San Pedro, where she led strategic processes focused on academic alignment, continuous improvement, and strengthening the educational community, contributing to institutional coherence and the achievement of standards of academic excellence.

Her professional background is complemented by certifications and diploma programs in leadership, psychological intervention, educational guidance, and pedagogical innovation, with particular emphasis on her participation in certifications and conferences of the International Baccalaureate Organization. Her leadership style is characterized by a strategic vision, strong management capabilities, and a firm commitment to students’
holistic development, faculty talent development, and the consolidation of high-performing teams.
