This course aims to analyze the characteristics of the political system which originated from the Mexican Revolution and the transformations it has undergone, passing from a corporate scheme to a scheme of alleged electoral competition. Additionally, the course will analyze the formation of the political elite, the "Revolutionary Family", the origins of the state party and the construction of authoritarian presidencialism. The course will also study the different popular mobilizations and struggle for democracy that has taken place in recent years, within the context of the end of the State Party.
