Students will be able to describe the parts of a publication and their key elements in order to issue a critical judgment on the development of an editing job. This will be achieved when students puts into practice these theoretical concepts and applies them to the publication and distribution of an existing project.

The aim of this course is to stimulate historical research, providing students with fundamental research tools.

Students will be able to carry out a research project in the area of philosophy according to academic research criteria.

The aim of this course is for students to describe and analyze the current links between humanity’s paramount problems and the philosophical concepts for their solution.

Students will be able to critically analyze the current political options after learning a specific set of concepts. They will also have to demonstrate their knowledge of the main problems current democratic systems face.

Students will be able to recognize the features of semiotics and criticize the different interpretations of the symbol, on the basis of the philosophy of language linked to metaphysics and hermeneutics. Students should also be able to apply the philosophy of language to a practical case in ethics.

Students will identify the fundamental problems of metaphysics, of the self in general, its attributes, types, categories, and beginning, approaching the different philosophical interpretations. They will also learn about the stances on the absolute self.

This course aims to provide students with introductory knowledge regarding quantitative social research methodology, in order to acquire basic notions about the different theories and techniques applied in social research.

The aim of this course is for the students to become acquainted with the social basis of politics and power, from classic to contemporary approaches.
