Upon completion of this course, students will be able to analyze and design the parts of a water supply and sewerage system. They will also be able to supervise the building of the parts that make up water supply and sewerage system.
The aim of this laboratory is for students to learn test methods to determine the characteristics of asphalt cements and rock aggregates used in asphalt mixtures. They will also become acquainted with the laboratory test methods to design dense, open, and draining asphalt mixes.
The aim of this course is for students to develop the ability to carry out the control process of a public or private work from the standpoint of the builder.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the key features that enable civil engineers to recommend a type of foundation, and design all the elements that efficiently make up such foundation, in order to provide civil works with shallow or deep foundations in accordance with site needs. They will also be able to determine settlings, load bearing capacity, land thrust, and slope stability.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design roads in accordance with the standards and specifications of Mexico's Secretariat of Communiction and Transport (SCT). They will also evaluate geometric road projects.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to analyze statically indeterminate (hyperstatic) structures based on the Cross method for beams and frames, and the Matrix method for beams, frames and reinforcement.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design steel elements to form part of a structure and design each of the different components that are part of a steel structure using the AISC-LRFD code.
Upon completion of this course, students will analyze and dimension reinforced concrete elements such as beams, colums, slabs, and reinforced concrete foundations under different types of loads.
Upon completion of this course, students will apply theoretical concepts to determine the unit costs of construction and plan a budget for the work.
Upon completion of this course, students will understand and identify the properties of concrete and its components. They will also plan and use design techniques, dosage, preparation, handling, control, and transport of quality concrete.
