IC 3200 Asphalt Laboratory

The aim of this laboratory is for students to learn test methods to determine the characteristics of asphalt cements and rock aggregates used in asphalt mixtures. They will also become acquainted with the laboratory test methods to design dense, open, and draining asphalt mixes.

IC 3100 Foundation Engineering

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the key features that enable civil engineers to recommend a type of foundation, and design all the elements that efficiently make up such foundation, in order to provide civil works with shallow or deep foundations in accordance with site needs. They will also be able to determine settlings, load bearing capacity, land thrust, and slope stability.

IC 3050 Road Engineering

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design roads in accordance with the standards and specifications of Mexico's Secretariat of Communiction and Transport (SCT). They will also evaluate geometric road projects.
