The aim of this course is for students to discover and study the crystalline structure of metals, ceramics, and polymers, as well as their mechanical and technolgical properties and the methods that can be applied to determine these properties.

Sudents will use the scientific method as a design norm, as well as the the concepts of kinematics and dynamics, in the development of computer simulations. They will use specialized software in the structuring of their projects.

The aim of this course is for students to apply the main laws that govern wave motion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and gas theory in the solution of science and engineering problems.

The aim of this course is for students to understand and apply the basic concepts of probability and statistics to the analysis and interpretation of quantitative information. These concepts include: grouping and graphical representation of data, descriptive measures, exploratory data analysis, probability distributions, classical theory of estimation and hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and non parametric tests.
