Announcement | Parents: We resume classes on line

San Pedro Garza García, Friday, March 20, 2020

Dear parents:

As you have been informed, the Universidad de Monterrey has closely monitored, and since the start of the outbreak, official information on the progress of the coronavirus COVID-19. Since this pandemic requires effective and immediate actions, in a combined effort of UDEM and local health authorities, we have been working nonstop to respond to the challenges that have arisen.

During the cancellation period of classes from Friday the 13th to Friday the 20th of March, we have worked on the transition of courses to its online and/or distance modality, giving complementary training to our teachers and making adjustments to the respective courses.

We are aware of the challenge for students to adapt to online classes in a totally remote learning environment, without diminishing their academic responsibility and commitment. For this reason, we restate the commitment of UDEM staff to continue with a high academic level and, also, a high willingness to serve so that our students successfully migrate to this form of learning.

Thanks to this, from Monday, March 23, classes can be resumed through online and/ or distance modality. They will be taught at regular times, that is, at the time when students took classes on campus, but in compliance with the new Spring 2020 Calendar. Students will be receiving the appropriate instructions through their institutional emails, their principals and teachers.

We ask you to keep following the official communication media of the University, where we will be offering you more information about our subsequent activities.

Sincerely,
Universidad de Monterrey
