Upon completion of this course, students will be able to distinguish and explain the basic concepts of structural behavior (work loads, reactions, shear, momentum, torsion, etc.) and the mechanical performance of materials (deformation, permissible loads, types of failure, etc), in order to obtain the bases to design structural elements.
