IN 1405 Methods Engineering

The aim of this course is for students to design processes and improve their productivity by applying operational analysis, process analysis tool, resource groups, machinists' movements, and work measurement techniques. They will be able to design incentive systems to increase the esigning systems of incentives to increase the productivity of machinists.

IN 2410 Operations Management

This course aims for students to: (1) schematize the evolution, strategic importance, and relevant aspects of operations management such as the design of processes, quality improvement, costing, response time and flexibility, production planning, and work design. (2) Conceptually define the appropriate operative strategy to compete and satisfy market requirements. (3) Analyze trends in the area such as the impact of automation, just-in-time philosophy, and similar trends.
