ID 0001 Basic English

Students will acquire basic language and strategies for the Institutional TOEFL exam in order to achieve a goal score of 490. As concerns the Listening Comprehension section of the exam, students will be able to discriminate between similar sounds and different types of negative expressions. With regard to the Structure and Written Expression section, studenst will be able to identify the subject and verb of a sentence, the prepositions, and participles.

HU 3415 Sociology of Work

The aim of this course is for students to analyze the changes that work has undergone since the advent of modernity, contextualizing it in their economic, political, and social dimensions, which allows them to inform people and organizations so that they can adapt accordingly.

HU 3413 Sociological Research Seminar: Methodology of Interviewing and Life Stories

Students will become acquainted with some of the theoretical foundations, methodologies, and instruments of qualitative research and they will create narrative records of the studied phenomena through techniques such as observation, interviews, and focus groups.
