IC 3400 Design of Structures II

Submitted by gcabello on

By the end of this course, students will be able to calculate beam deflections. They will also be able to design reinforced concrete beams, prestressed concrete beams, slender columns and biaxial bending columns. Aditionally, they will analyze and dimension concrete structures subjected to live loads, dead loads, earthquakes, and the wind.

IC 2270 Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

Submitted by gcabello on

The aim of this laboratory is for students to: (1) Apply experimental procedures to measure the behavior of fluids and use the equipment's capacity to experiment with hydrostatic pressure models. (2) Model driving hydraulics in closed and open systems. (3) Perform load balance and energy. (4) Apply the laws of similarity and dimensional analysis.

IC 3050 Road Engineering

Submitted by gcabello on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design roads in accordance with the standards and specifications of Mexico's Secretariat of Communiction and Transport (SCT). They will also evaluate geometric road projects.

IC 3100 Foundation Engineering

Submitted by gcabello on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the key features that enable civil engineers to recommend a type of foundation, and design all the elements that efficiently make up such foundation, in order to provide civil works with shallow or deep foundations in accordance with site needs. They will also be able to determine settlings, load bearing capacity, land thrust, and slope stability.
