By the end of this course, students will be knowledgeable about the concepts of planning, geometric project, and operation of traffic on roads, streets, terminals, and adjacent areas. They will have learned to diagnose the behavior of traffic and will be able to determine its current level of service and provide solutions for its improvement.

By the end of this course, students will learn different techniques for the assessment, maintenance, and rehabilitation of flexible and rigid pavements. They will be familiar with methods for the assessment of pavement quality. They will identify the types of deterioration present in pavement. Aditionally, they will be acquainted with the necessary procedure to implement a pavement mangement system.

Students will develop a project similar to the projects they will encounter in their careers and which integrates the knowledge acquired throughout their undergraduate program in Civil Engineering. They will also learn to develop their professional responsibility, as well as their methodological ability to search for, process, and use information, formulate problems, design solution, and apply appropriate techniques.

Upon completion of this course, students will be knowledgeable about the rules, consumption, quality and economic value of water for domestic use. They will also be able to design unit operations in terms of basic engineering for the purification and treatment of domestic sewage and sludge processing.

Upon completion of this course, students will understand the functioning of different types of machinery. They will also analyze and plan the operation of this construction equipment for specific work. Additionally, they will carry out economic analyses calculating the costs, schedules, yields, amounts of equipment required, etc.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design the infrastructure required for the different modes of transport: road, rail, air, sea, using the information provided for troubleshooting.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to use hydrological databases for planning, designing, and building the hydraulic works necessary for the control, capture, storage and conduction of water resources.

The aim of this course is the theoretical and practical application of the knowledge the students acquired to the complete development of a Construction Project, integrating the knowledge acquired in classes related to the planning, development and construction of a project, from it conception to its final definition.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to carry out the experimental measurements of different water quality parameters such as suspended and dissolved solids, pH, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorine, etc. They will also be able to interpret the experimental measurements and evaluate the efficiency of a water treatment process.
