Martha Herrera González (LEI '89) is part of the first graduating class of UDEM’s undergraduate degree program in International Studies, from which she graduated with honors. Today, Martha is a professional of national and international renown in the field of business social responsibility and sustainability.

Marcelo was born in Monterrey and spent part of his childhood in Puebla before coming back to Monterrey to complete his education. He studied for three semesters at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). However, after his third semester he made a trip to Europe and upon his return he decided to find a degree program that focused on Foreign Trade. The only such program that existed at the time was “International Studies” at UDEM.

Víctor Girón Dimas (LDE ’09) and Juan Pablo Girón (LPA ’13) are co-founders of “Vertical MX”, an objective news portal with no political, partisan, or religious bias, in which 90% of the collaborators are ExaUDEMs.

Natives of Victoria, Tamaulipas, they decided to start a social project together through a communication medium where they publish news and opinions on national and international issues, including categories such as sports, health, technology, tourism, society, etc.

Tétecoloh, is a company that was founded by four ExaUDEM entrepreneurs: Alejandro Guajardo Richo (LDE '14), David Garza Romo (MAE '15), Diego Guzmán Garza (LFI '13), and Mariano Garza Villarreal (LAE '12/MIIS '16) who, as coffee fans, felt the need to find a new business adventure and at the same time help their country. 

ExaUDEM Sergio Humberto García Rodríguez (LDE '94) is a Mexican entrepreneur and a native of Reynosa, Tamaulipas.

From 2014 to date, he has been dedicated to developing the Aqua-Tots Swim Schools franchise in Mexico and Latin America. He has opened two branches in Mexico, one in Plaza Nativa, right next to UDEM, and another one in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.

The story of ExaUDEM Andrea Rodríguez Zavala (LDE '12) began in May, 2009, when she represented UDEM at the “14^th Interamerican Contest on Human Rights,” organized by the American University Washington College of Law. After this experience, she decided to set off along the path of Human Rights. “I took my first steps as a litigator in Human Rights in 2010, through an itinerant Human Rights clinic, jointly with the National Supreme Court of Justice,” she told us.

Sisters and partners Tere (LEHS '06), Ana Gaby (LDE '11), Marcela (LDG '13), and Lorena Alanís Santos (Bachillerato '14), have always been real foodies. "We always dreamed about starting a business together, and with Montacometa we made our dream come true in 2014,” Marcela told us.

Since September 8, 2015, Carlos Ponce Beltrán (LDE ’83) has been the Assistant Attorney General for Telecommunications with PROFECO, Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency. This responsibility, which was bestowed upon him by then Federal Consumer Attorney General, Lorena Martínez, with authorization from the Secretary of Economy, Dr. Ildefonso Guajardo, has represented an important opportunity to lay the foundations of specialty and integrality in the promotion and defense of the rights of consumers of telecommunications goods, products, and services.

"It has always been my dream to be a race driver,” David Quiroga (LDE '12) told us, “I had been trying to get an opportunity to break into the sport for about 10 years. The calls for applications to the Nissan GT Academy opened in Mexico in 2014 for the first time and it was my brother Andrés who insisted that I should try.”

He managed to get to the last stage of the national final, among more than 28,200 Mexican candidates. Unfortunately, he did not crown as champion and thus did not go to the international final.
