Molecular Genetics Laboratory

You will conduct basic experiments in this facility to analyze nucleic acids. You will extract DNA from blood and from fungal and bacterial cultures. For this purpose, you will have at your disposal specialty equipment such as a microfuge and a vortex mixer. You will analyze the quality of extracted DNA or RNA and you will quantify it by using electrophoresis chambers, power supply units, a transilluminator, and a spectrophotometer. Likewise, you will keep a record of the databases of the biobanks in place.
