UDEM holds important national and international distinctions which reflect our ongoing commitment to offer high-level programs.
Institutional National Accreditation
The Federation of Mexican Private Higher Education Institutions (FIMPES: Federación de Instituciones Mexicanas Particulares de Educación Superior) has evaluated the University of Monterrey since 1997, endorsing three times the excellence in processes, programs and services with their highest-level accreditation: "Acreditación Lisa y Llana".
Institutional International Accreditation
The University of Monterrey is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and the Schools Commission on Colleges, to grant undergraduate and graduate programs.
Degree-granting institutions may also offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
International Improvement Program
As part of the established commitment with SACSCOC, UDEM implements the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which seeks to improve learning through student engagement, based on three main initiatives: service-learning, academic demand and self-management.
ABET
ABET is the world's engineering program accreditation agency commissioned to ensuring that programs in applied sciences, computing, engineering and technology meet the international quality standards required for these disciplines in the US and the rest of the world.
Based on Baltimore (US) and founded in 1931, ABET has accredited programs in more than 40 countries. This global recognition, contributes to a better job positioning of students and professionals in the local and foreign job market; additionally, it promotes the continuous improvement of institutions.
