Distinctions

Since 1997, the Federación de Instituciones Mexicanas Particulares de Educación Superior (FIMPES) has assessed UDEM and awarded its highest distinction "Acreditación Lisa y Llana" (fully accredited) on three occasions for the excellence of UDEM's processes, programs, and services.

The University of Monterrey is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and the Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees.

Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. As part of the commitment established with SACSCOC, the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is carried out at UDEM. This plan seeks to improve learning through student engagement, based on three initiatives: service-learning, academic requirements and self-management.

ABET is the accreditation agency for engineering programs in the world in charge of ensuring that programs in applied sciences, computing, engineering and technology meet the international quality standards required for these disciplines in the US and the rest of the world.

Founded in 1932, with headquartered in Baltimore, USA, ABET has accredited programs in more than 40 countries. Thanks to this global recognition, its accreditations improve the job position of students and professionals in local and foreign markets, in addition to promoting the continuous improvement of institutions.
