This course aims to identify essential elements to foster environmental values and raise awareness of the environment, based on a correct use of energy resources for the purpose of encouraging the sustainable development of our society.
Students will be able to understand the application areas of mechanical engineering, the concepts involved in it, and the types of applications that they will develop along their degree program and professional development in the three areas involved: mechanical design, materials, and production processes. They will also analyze projects and applications of the three aforementioned areas to identify the elements, problems and solution. They will become acquainted with current methodologies, computer equipment, and tools used in their professional field.
After completing the course, students will have acquired a broad understanding of industrial engineering and system engineering and their practical application in the different business sectors (health, transformation, government, and services).
Students will be able to use the tools acquired on the different techniques and process design methodologies in the area of mechatronics in a real situation. They will do this through virtual simulation (PLM) in order to apply them to real integration projects.
This course aims to outline the historical development of the concept of quality through the study of the theories of leading thinkers in this discipline and the forms and models used by successful companies. Students will acquire and apply knowledge of the concepts and the main tools of Total Quality Control in view of the existing need for a change of mentality for individuals and companies to achieve an appropriate level of competitiveness, based on quality and continuous improvement.
The aim of this course is for students to understand and apply the basic concepts of numerical methods in the solution of problems related to: interpolation, correlation, numerical differentiation and integration, solving systems of equations through iterative methods, and the solution of differential equations. These goals are to be achieved through the use of computer software.
