At the conclusion of this course, students will have consolidated the construction of their knowledge and skills in the Emergency , Internal Medicine, General Surgery and epidemiological research areas, through direct participation in the health care processes to achieve a high level of competence in diagnostic and therapeutic decisions (resolving capacity ) and research on the most common health problems in these areas, besides consolidating a position of service and professional ethics.

At the conclusion of this course, students will have consolidated the construction of their knowledge and skills in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, Family Medicine, and research seminar, through direct participation in the health care processes to achieve a high level of competence in diagnostic and therapeutic decisions (resolving capacity) and research on the most common health problems in these areas, besides consolidating a position of service and professional ethics.

Upon conclusion of this course, students will be able to analyze the advances achieved in the various specialties dealing with health in the cycles of human life, within the spheres of their biopsychosocial environment through the review of various selected study methodologies in order to make global management protocols more meaningful.

Upon completion of this course, students will have developed the necessary skills and abilities in clinical practice to be able to apply basic nursing care to provide healthy individuals and/or sick people with comfort and support.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able able to interpret the meaning of medical terms by identifying Greek and Latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes and applying them to Virginia Henderson's assessment of basic human needs.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply the nursing care process as a methodological tool in their practice. They will also be able to develop a customized comprehensive care plan for individuals, families, and communities, applying Virginia Henderson's human needs philosophy.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply basic nursing care to satisfy the needs for oxygenation, nourishment, and waste elimination of healthy individuals and/or patients, through the development of the skills and abilities needed in clinical practice.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to describe the hygiene, diet, exercise, and housing requirements of elderly patients in order to distinguish the lifestyles that promote welfare from those that negatively affect the health of the elderly. This will be achieved through testing, designs of social work programs, posters , participating in an open panel on a related subject and by establishing a diagnosis with intervention proposals on the family dynamics of a senior citizen.
