At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to diagnose and treat common eye diseases and identify those that require support from an ophthalmologist in order to achieve their timely referral if necessary, performing effectively in the field of clinical medicine. This will be achieved through the linking of theory and practice in the outpatient consultation and operating room areas.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to diagnose and treat timely and appropriately the most common urological clinical conditions in order to define the referral / counter-referral criteria for cases that need the support of a specialist in this area. This will be achieved through readings, research, discussion of problematized clinical cases and in-hospital patient consultations.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to participate effectively in the diagnosis and treatment of the most common pediatric conditions in order to promptly refer patients to a specialist in situations beyond their professional scope, protecting the health of human beings in this age group. This will be achieved through bibliographic research , discussions on problematized clinical cases, sharing experiences in groups, collaborative work, outpatient consultation practice, and in-hospital duty shifts.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to prevent, diagnose, and effectively treat the most common conditions of the female reproductive system, which affect not only women but also their families.

At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to diagnose and treat the most common digestive diseases in order to perform well in clinical practice , and timely channeling the patient warrants specialty consultation . Therefore, through readings , bibliographic research , participation in clinical seminars , preparation of case-based outpatient medical records, and participation in clinical radiology and surgery sessions.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to integrate diagnoses and treatment plans for the most common respiratory diseases as well as to specify referral criteria for pneumonia cases, in order to define which cases require interconsultation with a pulmonologist.
