Mariana Benavides
At UDEM I have had an infinite number of possibilities to aspire to be my best version. UDEM has been part of my professional and personal development since high school, being an essential factor for the person I am today.
During my high school years, I was involved in a wide variety of activities inside and outside of UDEM. During these three years, I was a co-founding member of the group “Girl Up Monterrey”. I belonged to the student life board of directors, organizing events such as Trojan Day, Stand Up, among other leadership congresses. I was also part of the Secretariat of UDEMUN 2020 as Director of Public Relations.
Currently, I am pursuing my law degree. Throughout these years, I have had the opportunity to be part of various student groups. I had the honor of serving as president of the SALDE 2021-2022 administration. I was initiated as a member of the Santos Theriot chapter of the international legal honor fraternity Phi Delta Phi. I served as secretary of the University Network for the Promotion of Human Rights UDEM Chapter. I am also part of the fifth generation of Drivers of Change.
Thanks to UDEM I have been able to push myself to always seek growth and knowledge. It has also helped me to learn outside the classroom, for example, by working with the Institute of Human Rights and Business. I am very grateful for all that UDEM has given me: friendships, excellent teachers, experiences, challenges. I am grateful for what I am sure is to come.
