The aim of this course is for students to understand film narrative through a historical and theoretical revision of the film phenomenon and the evolution of cinematic language.
By the end of this course, students will be able to perform processes that include On-line editing, final sound mix, color correction, and grading, as well as the mastering of their film in HD and DCP formats for a professional finishing and subsequent television broadcasting or screening in commercial theaters.
At the end of this course, students will understand the complete film production cycle, from fund raising, budget execution, sales, and return on investment. Through the study of real cases, students will understand the legal requirements and necessary deliverables for the professional distribution of a motion picture, its participation in film festivals, management through international sales agencies, and sales to ancillary markets, and in this way be able to make adequate production and distribution decisions.
Through an exchange experience, students will be immersed in film production at a different educational institution and will take an advanced filmmaking course to enhance their professional preparation.
