Steps for admission
Admission requirements
In order to join the Doctorate in Law program, it is necessary to meet the following requirements:
1. Submit the following documentation at the Admissions Department:
- Research protocol as per institutional guidelines.
- Résumé.
- Signed application for admission form.
- A copy of birth certificate issued in the current year (if you are a foreigner, the document must be apostilled).
- CURP.
- 4 recent black-and-white photographs (3 x 2.5 cm / 1” X 1 ¼”) (no snapshots)..
- A copy of candidate’s official i.d. (INE card, passport).
- A copy of proof of address (issued within three months of current day; only water, electricity, and telephone bills will be accepted).
- Sign and submit the document Terms and Conditions for Admission and Permanence in the Universidad de Monterrey.
- A copy of undergraduate degree in Law. *
- A copy of professional license in Law. *
- An authenticated certificate of master’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Relations, International Trade, Politics, or like disciplines.
- A copy of degree of any of the aforementioned master’s degree programs.
- CA copy of license for one of the aforementioned master’s degree programs.
Foreign students must also submit the following documents:
- A current copy of FM3 Immigration Form.
- A letter of no criminal record in their country
- An authenticated certificate of undergraduate degree program in Law.
2. Pass the Graduate Level Admission Competency Evaluation (ECIP).
This online diagnostic tool is exclusive to UDEM graduate degree programs.
What does it do? It assesses he development of administrative and interactive competencies through virtual work simulations. Through a series of situations, it will allow you to choose the best alternative to achieve effective results.
3. Attend an interview with the Academic Program Director.
4. Attend an interview and perform defense of research protocol with the Committee for Admission to the Doctorate in Law program.
Important
- Candidates should preferably be able to read and understand texts in the English language.
- If the candidate does not have master’s degree and license yet, he/she may submit proof that process to obtain them is underway.
- Candidates who have pursued studies abroad must submit authenticated documents at the Mexican Consulate, certified at the department of Higher Education or apostilled at the department of certifications of their country of origin.
