App to diagnose cancer in real time

Universidad de Monterrey graduates Alejandro López, Andrés Garzafox, and Sergio Hurtado, developed Dermapp, a cellphone app that assesses, analyzes, and determines the risk of suffering from skin cancer.

If the app yields a disturbing result, the user can be referred to a specialist to decide on the course of action to be undertaken.

Alejandro and Sergio graduated as Computer Technology Engineers in December 2017, while Andrés graduated in Biomedical Engineering. However, they continued to work on improving the app at UDEM’s hub for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation.
