El objetivo es formar cardiólogos pediatras, capacitados para cubrir las más altas expectativas de salud biopsicosocial en la prevención, diagnóstico, tratamiento y rehabilitación en las enfermedades cardiovasculares congénitas y adquiridas en el paciente pediátrico, utilizando con habilidad y destreza la tecnología de vanguardia; con especial énfasis en el aspecto humano de la medicina, trabajo en equipo y con un enfoque primordial de la docencia y la investigación.
