The specialist in Pediatric Pulmonology, through medical practice grounded in problem-solving educational methodology, becomes highly competent in their specific field of action.

The duration of the Specialty in Pediatric Pulmonology is 2 years.

Required Academic Background: 3 years of specialization in Pediatrics.

Objective

To train pediatric pulmonologists capable of meeting the highest biopsychosocial health expectations in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic respiratory diseases in pediatric patients. This includes a special emphasis on the human aspect of medicine, offering maximum standards of patient care and safety. They will coordinate with multidisciplinary health teams within a framework of ethics, professionalism, and profound respect for the environment. They will employ scientific research methodology as a habitual instrument in their daily practice and remain committed to continuous professional development in their discipline.

  • Possess scientific foundations in medicine, particularly in pediatrics.

  • Broad understanding of scientific methodology and epidemiological methods.
