We are the first university in Nuevo León to have a 3D X-ray unit at the undergraduate level

A Sirona Orthophos SL machine joins the wide range of tools that the Universidad de Monterrey’s Dental Prevention Clinic (CPD) has in place for its Dentistry School students to attend to their patients.

This machine is equipped to take conventional X-rays, but what sets it apart from more traditional technology is its capacity to take 3D digital radiographs, which will facilitate the examination and treatment processes for doctors and will reduce the discomfort that patients may experience.

Orthophos SL meets all safety guidelines set forth by the Secretariat of Health for its operation, such as signaling and warning signs; a red light that would signal when the equipment is in use; lead-lined walls; and a sign bearing the universal symbol for radiation.

Of course, patients must wear a lead vest at the time the X-ray is taken. Additionally, full maintenance is performed on this equipment every six months.
