Description

In the Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Practice (ECCC) you will become a professional in evidence-based clinical management and you will participate in the scientific dissemination of research findings.

Objective

In the Specialt in Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Practice you will be competent in the mastery of the theoretical-practical-ethical-methodological knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to practice consolidated clinical psychology based on evidence-supported work in various clinical scenarios.

It requires the preparation of clinical guidelines based on group consensus across the clinical itineraries specific to the specialty.

 

Student Learning Outcomes

You will be educated and trained as a clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Practice, an expert in the management of theory, techniques, and research in your area of expertise.

To pursue this specialty, you must be a psychologist or physician interested in developing clinical and psychological intervention competencies, innovating the clinical practice of Psychology, professionalizing evidence-based clinical management, and participating in the scientific dissemination of research findings.

Graduate profile

As a graduate of the specialty in Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Practice, you will...

  • Be capable of devising instruments to assess and measure overt and covert behavior.
  • Be familiar with the psychological and psychopathological processes of the patient, from a scientific point of view and can derive a conceptualization and assessment of the case from them and subsequently select the cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic strategies and techniques aimed at the achievement of the set objectives.
  • Evaluate the application of the therapeutic program and make any necessary adjustments to maintain changes.
  • Develop the ability to design, apply, and evaluate the necessary elements for the development of a research project with a cognitive-behavioral approach.
