The Clinical Simulation Laboratory of the Universidad de Monterrey has been officially established as an American Heart Association (AHA) International Training Center. Thus, UDEM has obtained authorization to teach the courses in the Emergency Cardiovascular Care program, as it is now part of the AHA Training Center Network.
If you want to hold in-person or long-distance (videoconference) meetings, you will be able to use the Telemedicine and Long-distance Clinic Room. It is a small facility that has a computer, a projector, a screen, and an oval table with 8 chairs.
As Dentistry and Dental Surgery student, you will carry out the pre-clinical practices mandated by your undergraduate degree program before treating real patients. The procedures that you will carry out in the laboratory range from simulating dental prophylaxis (cleaning) to placing an implant.
To this end, it is essential to have high-quality, high-fidelity equipment for accurate simulation which most closely resembles a real patient’s mouth.
You will test and prove the physical and chemical properties of matter by applying the basic concepts of the science of chemistry.
As a student of the undergraduate degree programs in Nutrition and Biomedical Engineering, you will be able to study the techniques used in all food laboratories. With these techniques, you will learn to carry out a thorough assessment of the nutritional value of a food product by determining its chemical composition (humidity, ashes, fats, fiber, carbohydrates, and proteins), the energy contribution of that food product and its organoleptic qualities. The results obtained contribute to the preparation of nutritional labels of food products.
In this laboratory, you will conduct studies of human dimensions and measurements in order to determine their body composition and evaluate their nutritional status.
You will be able to use this facility as a Nutrition student.
The Gesell Dome is made up of two independent areas separated by a one- way vision glass in which you will be able to observe clinical situations, preventing alterations due to the presence of a third party.
